The Sky Dancer – A Poem

ballet dancers in the sky

The Sky Dancer.

I am the sky dancer at home in the stars,

Traversing lightly,

These realms of Earth.

Descending for those flickering human moments,

Before playing in dreams once more.

In one such moment you caught me,

Like catching the ethereal in your hands.

And our souls touched in recognition,

After so long apart.

And that reality you dreamt for us

Grounded me.

I find that the stars beneath my feet

Can be at home here,

In this dream,

On this Earth,

While you anchor me,

In our love.

And I know that I can lift your dreams,

From this earthly plain,

Into my starry realm,

Allowing you to experience

So much more than ever before.

Come dance with your sky dancer amongst the stars,

And I’ll play in Earthly paradise with you.
