The designer in me just loves creating eye catching covers for eBooks!
The front cover is really important, it has to be eye catching enough to stand out from the crowd as a thumbnail image as people scroll through lists of books. Even if your eBook is amazing, and the title is interesting, people won’t click through to view any of this unless your cover engages them as they scroll.
It needs to hit between the eyes, so to speak, WHAM!
When I work on your eBook cover, I need to know a few things.
- What the eBook is about
- The emotion you are trying to provide for the reader
- Your own ideas…if your book was in a bookshop window, how would it look? Colours, images, other book designs you like.
So please begin to think of these things and jot down ideas. I will contact you once I receive the order.
When you receive the book cover image, (usually I will send two to three different designs for you to choose from), we will discuss what you like, dislike, and I will make changes. We will do this process three times, to make sure the cover is as you would like it. The cover can then be sent to you in three formats, .jpg, .png .pdf so it can be used as a paperback cover if you decide to take your book into actual printed form!
