So here we are, and today we start simple, but powerful!
Here goes, are you with me?
Stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself, don’t look away! Look into your eyes and say out loud, ‘I love you!’
I don’t care how much you don’t want to do this, do it!
Now take note how that makes you feel, and where in your body you feel it. Write it down. It helps!
Next I want you to place your hands over the centre of your chest, about where you would touch if you pointed to yourself. Place one hand over the other and close your eyes.
Take three, long, slow relaxing breaths. Feel the tension ease. Now keep breathing in a relaxed manner while focusing on the area beneath your hands. Imagine that there is an open space within your chest. It is dark at present but the more you breathe into it the more you become aware of a light. It is very small, just a flicker. See if you can breathe a little more light into it. Go on, you can do it!
Keep breathing into this light for as long as you like and see how big you can get it today. While you do this take note of any new sensations, any thoughts or emotions that emerge.
You can do this exercise as many times as you like in the next twenty four hours, especially if you are feeling lonely, down, or misunderstood.
